Contributor Terms
Effective: May 23, 2026 · Governing Law: Florida, United States
1. Work Made for Hire
Every paragraph submitted and accepted for payment is a work made for hire as a contribution to a collective work within the meaning of 17 U.S.C. § 101. Pollagraph is the sole author and exclusive copyright owner of each accepted paragraph from the moment of its creation. The contributor retains no copyright, moral rights, or ownership interest of any kind.
2. Assignment of Rights (Fallback)
To the extent that any accepted paragraph is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction not to qualify as a work made for hire, the contributor hereby irrevocably assigns to Pollagraph all right, title, and interest in and to the paragraph, including all copyright and related rights worldwide, in perpetuity, without further compensation. This assignment is self-executing and requires no additional instrument.
3. Original Work Warranty
By submitting a paragraph, the contributor warrants that: (a) the paragraph is entirely their own original work; (b) it has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere; (c) it was not generated in whole or in part by artificial intelligence or automated tools; (d) it does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right; and (e) the contributor has full authority to grant the rights described in these Terms.
4. Payment Terms
Pollagraph will pay $25.00 USD for each paragraph that meets all published structural and prompt requirements. Payment is issued to the email address you provide at the time of submission and constitutes full and final compensation for the paragraph.
Payments are transmitted through a third‑party payment processor, currently PayPal Holdings, Inc., using the email address you submit. Pollagraph may decline or withhold payment for any submission that fails validation, violates these Terms, or cannot be processed due to inaccurate or incomplete information.
5. Tax Responsibility
Contributors are independent contractors, not employees of Pollagraph. Contributors are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes applicable to payments received. Contributors who earn $600.00 or more from Pollagraph in a calendar year (2025) or $2,000.00 or more (2026 and beyond) will be issued IRS Form 1099-NEC. Pollagraph may require contributors to complete IRS Form W-9 before processing payment. Failure to provide accurate tax information may result in 24% backup withholding as required by federal law.
6. No Employment Relationship
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between the contributor and Pollagraph. Contributors have no right to benefits, workers' compensation, or other entitlements associated with employment.
7. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Seminole County, Florida.
8. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the contributor and Pollagraph with respect to paragraph submissions. Acceptance of payment constitutes affirmative agreement to these Terms. Pollagraph may update these Terms at any time; the version in effect at the time of submission governs that submission.
